Re-live Streets Alive though Bob Trubshaw photosRe-live Streets Alive though Bob Trubshaw photos
17th June 2008
Streets Alive has been developed as a commissioned event by Charnwood Arts since the late 1990's as a town centre street arts festival. We work in partnership with Charnwood Borough Council who assist us in staging the event. It has been an important part of the Heart of Three Cities Festival for the last four years. Charnwood Arts has a long tradition of May events and usually have enormous good fortune with the weather - this year and last year that luck avoided disaster but still meant a cold and windy day with audiences braving the elements to see some great performances.

A Passion For DanceA Passion For Dance
27th May 2008
A photographic exhibition by American photographer Richard Calmes at the Pixel and Grain Gallery, Loughborough Town Hall. `My images show how variable dance can be. There is more to dance than tremendous leaps and jumps. There can be quiet power in a still pose. There is colour in dance, but there is also line and form. Dance is so much more than `tricks`. It encompasses such a range of beauty that there is no limit to the images it can produce, or the feelings it can invoke within us`. Running until June 20th
